Spruce Peak Unveils $90M Village Center at Luxury Resort

Spruce Peak at Stowe, New England’s only luxury mountain resort community located in Vermont, has completed its much-anticipated $90 million Village Center, elevating the ski experience in the Northeast. Originally launched in 2003 as a comprehensive resort project, Spruce Peak began with Stowe Mountain Lodge, the Mountain Cabins and a 21,000-square-foot spa. This season the resort unveils a more complete alpine village centered on a new 20,000-square-foot adventure center and boutique shops organized around a 10,000-square-foot ice-skating rink.

This fall the community will add 18 four-bedroom Village Townhomes—2,100-square-foot triplex units with direct access to the slopes and proximity to an 18-hole golf course. Spruce Peak Realty, the community’s home developer, is now accepting reservations for unit selection on homes priced between $1.5 million and $2.2 million.

“When we began this project, we envisioned creating the East’s answer to Deer Valley, Aspen or Beaver Creek,” said Sam Gaines, vice president and director of real estate at Spruce Peak at Stowe. “To realize that vision we committed to world-class facilities and amenities that bring a level of luxury not previously available in this part of Vermont.”

The resort sets a new standard for amenity-rich vacation properties. The Alpine Clubhouse and Clubhouse Residences include 19 luxury resort club homes, a private dining room and a ski club reserved for Spruce Peak residents and local members. The Clubhouse offers the unique convenience of underground slope-side parking, allowing members to access the mountain without a trek. The newly opened adventure center houses the Stowe Children’s Ski and Ride school and provides dedicated youth ski lessons. The center also features a screening room, casual dining options and an indoor climbing gym.

These additions complement Spruce Peak’s existing offerings, which include the 21,000-square-foot spa and pool, a 450-seat performance center, a 36-hole golf course and direct access to Stowe Mountain Lodge. Together, the resort’s facilities and residences create a cohesive, upscale village experience that distinguishes Spruce Peak from other mountain destinations.

Sustainability and environmental stewardship are central to Spruce Peak’s development philosophy. The resort was the first mountain community in the nation to earn the Audubon International Green Community Award. The Village Center’s heating and cooling needs are served by one of the largest private geothermal systems, a network of 100 wells installed beneath the ski slopes, demonstrating the community’s commitment to energy-efficient infrastructure and responsible land use.
