Starwood Hotels & Resorts is expanding its Aloft brand into Peru with two new properties planned for Lima in 2018. Both hotels — Aloft Lima Miraflores and Aloft Lima Costa Verde — will be located in the popular Miraflores district, a vibrant neighborhood known for its dining, shopping and coastal views.
Aloft first entered the Latin American market in 2011 with Aloft Bogota Airport and has since developed a reputation for contemporary design, technology-forward amenities and social public spaces that appeal to millennials, business travelers and style-conscious leisure guests. Starwood plans to significantly grow Aloft’s presence in Latin America: the brand currently operates six hotels in the region and has an additional six projects under development.
The beachfront Aloft Lima Costa Verde will offer approximately 160 loft-style guestrooms designed to emphasize natural light and modern finishes while taking advantage of ocean views. Aloft Lima Miraflores, located in the heart of Miraflores, will feature around 164 guestrooms and include flexible meeting and event space as well as integrated retail and dining options, positioning it as a convenient base for both leisure and business travelers.
Both hotels will incorporate Aloft’s signature amenities and services. Guestrooms will be equipped with SPG Keyless entry and complimentary high-speed WiFi. Each property will also feature the brand’s social hubs and food-and-beverage concepts, including the W XYZ bar, Re:fuel by Aloft for quick bites and coffee, the Re:charge fitness center and a Splash pool for relaxation.
In addition to these physical amenities, the Aloft properties will participate in the Live At Aloft Hotels program, which brings live music and local cultural experiences into the hotel environment to create energetic, community-oriented public spaces. These programming elements reinforce Aloft’s focus on social interaction, music and design as part of the guest experience.
“Latin America continues to be a key priority for the Aloft brand, and we look forward to expanding our presence to Lima, one of South America’s most sought-after destinations,” said Brian McGuinness, senior vice president, specialty select brands at Starwood. “With more than 100 hotels globally and an active development pipeline, Aloft is debuting in some of the world’s most dynamic destinations.”
Today Aloft is one of Starwood’s fastest-growing brands, with more than 100 hotels in operation worldwide and a robust pipeline that ranks it among the company’s largest growth initiatives. The arrival of two Aloft hotels in Lima is positioned to strengthen the brand’s footprint in a city that attracts both international tourists and business travelers.
The addition of Aloft Lima Miraflores and Aloft Lima Costa Verde will offer modern, tech-enabled accommodations and lively public spaces to travelers visiting Lima, complementing the neighborhood’s existing hospitality offerings and providing new options for both short stays and longer visits. As Aloft continues to expand across Latin America, its mix of design, music-driven programming and accessible amenities aims to meet the needs of contemporary travelers seeking style, convenience and social experiences.
