Riyadh Marriott Hotel Reopens After Major Renovation

Marriott International has unveiled the relaunched Riyadh Marriott Hotel in Saudi Arabia following an extensive renovation. The updated property introduces the brand’s signature Great Room concept to the region—a versatile, stylish gathering space designed for socializing, dining, working and relaxing.

“The Great Room at the Riyadh Marriott Hotel is stunning with an Arabian oasis atmosphere,” said Muin Serhan, general manager of the Riyadh Marriott Hotel. “Guests can socialize, unwind, work or dine in this upscale area and experience the ambiance created by dramatic light installations, Mashrabiya wooden screens, glass mosaics, a water feature and plush seating.”

The Great Room is equipped with multiple desks and meeting areas, and offers complimentary WiFi to support both leisure and business travelers. The design blends contemporary comfort with regional architectural accents to create a welcoming, multifunctional environment for hotel guests.

The renovation extends beyond the Great Room, enhancing the guest experience across public spaces and accommodations while aligning with Marriott’s global standards for service and design. These improvements reflect the brand’s commitment to delivering elevated hospitality in key markets.

Marriott Hotels’ presence in Saudi Arabia now includes properties in Riyadh, Jeddah and Madinah, and the company has announced plans for a new hotel in Makkah that is expected to open later this year. The expanded portfolio underscores Marriott’s investment in the region and its focus on meeting the needs of both domestic and international travelers.
