Lifestyle Hotel Brand Debuts First U.S. Location in Minneapolis

Radisson RED, a hotel lifestyle brand inspired by art, music and fashion, is opening its first U.S. location this November: Radisson RED Minneapolis.

Built around local creativity, the brand targets guests with a modern, ageless millennial mindset. Rather than separating the lobby, restaurants, bars and meeting areas, Radisson RED blends these spaces into a single, integrated social hive designed for interaction and connection. Technology streamlines the guest experience: the RED app enables keyless room entry, mobile ordering, service requests with instant SMS responses, and ways to connect with other guests. With no traditional front desk, the property focuses on simplicity and convenience through its digital tools.

“Radisson RED is a completely new and different hotel concept; it is bold and alive and provides an experience like no other,” said Javier Rosenberg, chief operating officer, Americas, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. The company has announced multiple RED hotels globally, with key destinations across the Americas.

The Minneapolis property showcases the brand’s distinct approach. It features OUIBar + KTCHN, the restaurant and bar concept that highlights fresh, sustainable dishes influenced by the city’s vibrant street-food scene. Menus emphasize local ingredients and contemporary flavors in a lively, communal setting.

Radisson RED Minneapolis offers 164 studio-style rooms that pair bold, modern design with practical, multifunctional furniture—such as a picnic-table-style workspace that replaces a traditional desk. Guest rooms feature large windows for natural light and a 55-inch TV with an integrated sound bar for streaming entertainment. Additional amenities include a 24/7 fitness center and a 1,000-square-foot Events and Games Studio equipped with social activities like ping-pong, making the hotel suitable for both work and play.

Overall, Radisson RED Minneapolis aims to deliver an energetic, design-forward hotel experience centered on local culture and seamless technology, appealing to guests who value social spaces, creative programming and modern conveniences.
