DoubleTree by Hilton Opens First Hotel in Colombia

DoubleTree by Hilton is expanding into Colombia with two new properties in Bogotá. DoubleTree by Hilton Bogotá Parque 93 and DoubleTree by Hilton Bogotá Calle 100 are scheduled to open in December 2015 and February 2016, respectively.

“International travel to Colombia has continued to increase over the past few years and we are excited to bring the DoubleTree by Hilton brand to serve this growing market,” said Ted Middleton, senior vice president, development, Latin America, Hilton Worldwide. “These two signings in Colombia reflect Hilton Worldwide’s strategy to serve guests for any trip occasion, anywhere in the world.”

The 132-room Cosmos Insignia Hotel will be converted into DoubleTree by Hilton Bogotá Parque 93. Situated in the heart of Bogotá’s Chicó neighborhood, the hotel will be within minutes of restaurants, cafés and bars. Amenities will include the Agata restaurant, a lobby lounge and an executive lounge with a bar, offering comfortable options for both leisure and business travelers.

Tower C of the Hotel & Convention Centre Cosmos 100 will be transformed into DoubleTree by Hilton Bogotá Calle 100, an 88-room property located in the city’s northern district. Positioned close to shopping centers and the business and financial districts, the hotel will be approximately 25 minutes from El Dorado International Airport. Guests will enjoy a lobby lounge and on-site restaurant, and benefit from direct access to Cosmos 100’s meeting and event facilities, making it convenient for conferences and corporate events.

Both conversions capitalize on established locations and local amenities, allowing the DoubleTree brand to offer its signature hospitality—modern guest rooms, dining options and communal spaces—while integrating with Bogotá’s vibrant neighborhoods. These openings mark DoubleTree’s first presence in Colombia and support Hilton’s broader growth strategy across Latin America.

The arrival of these two hotels provides new lodging options for travelers visiting Bogotá for business or leisure, and strengthens the city’s hotel offering by combining recognizable international standards with local convenience and charm.
