Inkaterra, Peru’s leader in sustainable tourism, marks its 40th anniversary with the new “Ruby” package: a nine-day journey that visits four of its signature properties across Peru and includes more than 40 curated activities, from guided excursions to gourmet meals and spa treatments. The itinerary is designed to showcase Peru’s diverse landscapes and cultural heritage while emphasizing Inkaterra’s long-standing commitment to conservation and authentic travel experiences.
The journey begins at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica, a remote lodge in the Amazon rainforest featuring 35 wooden cabanas. Guests explore one of the planet’s most biodiverse rainforests, walk the property’s canopy walkway, and take a boat excursion to Lake Sandoval for wildlife viewing and guided rainforest hikes.
Next, travelers continue to Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel, where they can visit the hotel’s renowned collection of native orchids—the largest of its kind—observe the night sky at the Rocotal Observatory, relax in an Andean sauna, and make the trip to the iconic Machu Picchu archaeological site with guided tours.
In the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the itinerary includes a two-night stay at the recently opened Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba. The property features an on-site ecological farm where guests may harvest produce, along with opportunities for birdwatching and guided visits to nearby historic and cultural sites in the valley.
The final stop is Inkaterra La Casona, an 11-suite colonial manor dating back to the 16th century, located in the heart of Cusco. From this central base, guests can explore Cusco on foot and return to the hotel for a gourmet dinner and a relaxing massage.
The Ruby package is priced from $5,200 per person, based on double occupancy, and includes all listed excursions and spa treatments. The offer is tailored for travelers seeking an immersive, responsibly minded Peruvian experience that combines nature, culture, and comfortable accommodations.
