Brand-New Las Vegas Hotel: Grand Opening Guide & Insider Tips

Construction is underway on the first stand-alone boutique hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, scheduled to open May 21, 2014. The Cromwell will offer 188 rooms and suites, a 40,000-square-foot casino, a hotel lobby bar, a lounge and restaurant by celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis, plus a rooftop pool and nightlife venues.

The Cromwell is accepting reservations online and by phone at 844-I-AM-CROM.

Previously operating as Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon, the property has been transformed into an intimate boutique destination. The exterior will feature black Parisian-style awnings and ornate railings that hint at the hotel’s blend of vintage charm and contemporary design. Inside, the casino will balance classic touches with modern finishes and offer 66 table games, 440 slot machines and a private gaming salon for guests seeking a more secluded experience.

Interlude, the hotel bar and lounge, is designed as a sexy, intimate gathering spot with inventive cocktails and a focus on craft mixology. The rooftop pool area will provide a stylish escape from the Strip below, while the hotel’s nightlife venues aim to deliver late-night energy tailored to boutique-hotel guests.

The on-site restaurant overseen by Giada De Laurentiis marks the chef’s first restaurant partnership and will emphasize approachable, Italian-inspired cuisine designed to appeal to both hotel guests and local visitors. Dining and beverage experiences are curated to complement the property’s overall design, creating a cohesive upscale-yet-welcoming atmosphere.

As a boutique property on the Las Vegas Strip, The Cromwell positions itself as an alternative to larger resorts by focusing on personalized service, thoughtfully designed public spaces and a curated selection of amenities. Its size and layout are intended to foster a more intimate guest experience while retaining the entertainment and gaming offerings travelers expect in Las Vegas.

Guests interested in staying at The Cromwell can reserve rooms through the hotel’s booking channels. With its combination of boutique aesthetics, dining by a high-profile chef, and a compact but full-featured casino, The Cromwell aims to attract travelers seeking a stylish, smaller-scale option in the heart of the Strip.
