EVA Air has unveiled its 2019 amenity upgrades for passengers flying in Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel cabins.
On long-haul flights, both Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel passengers can now enjoy new sleepwear designed by Jason Wu. Wu, who gained recognition for designing Michelle Obama’s inauguration gowns, crafted this airline collaboration with an emphasis on comfort and understated style suitable for overnight travel.
Passengers departing from Taiwan will receive enhanced long-haul amenity kits from Rimowa and Salvatore Ferragamo. These coordinated kits include eye masks, socks, a hairbrush, a microfiber cloth, earplugs, a toothbrush and toothpaste, plus CLARINS skincare items selected for in-flight use. On return flights to Taiwan, amenity kits are tailored with lotion, hand cream and lip balm.
Royal Laurel, Premium Laurel and business-class travelers also benefit from updated refreshments. Boarding service now features a cold-pressed mango and fruit juice blend. Coffee and tea service has been elevated with the addition of artisanal chocolates paired with beverage service, and after-dinner options now include a crème caramel–inspired tea.
Selected routes include a specially curated menu by Master Chef Huang Ching-biao. Available on flights connecting Taipei (TPE) with Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK) and San Francisco (SFO), the menu showcases regional and refined dishes such as pork shoulder wrapped with cucumber and Thai-style shrimp, golden chicken soup with seafood, braised abalone in oyster sauce served with stir-fried rice, and a dessert of mashed taro and sweet potato in a water chestnut sauce.
These updates reflect EVA Air’s ongoing focus on combining refined culinary choices, thoughtful onboard amenities and designer collaborations to enhance the long-haul travel experience for premium passengers.
