Luxury Hotel Provides Safe Habitats for Bees and Wild Insects

Hotel du Cap‑Eden‑Roc has introduced an insect hotel to support its resident bees and other beneficial species such as ladybugs, butterflies and beetles. Designed as part of the resort’s sustainability efforts, the structure offers a variety of winter shelters tailored to different insects’ needs, including drilled logs, wood shavings, moss and bundled branches.

This historic, elegant hotel — one of nine properties in the Oetker Collection — sits on the French Riviera in the Provence‑Alpes‑Côte d’Azur region, amid landscapes that inspired artists such as Matisse, Picasso and Renoir. Guests can choose from rooms, suites and private villas, all designed to provide a tranquil retreat with refined comfort.

Onsite amenities include the Spa Eden‑Roc Sisley for restorative treatments, a seawater‑fed swimming pool, five tennis courts, and a curated selection of boutique shops. The hotel’s beachfront setting invites guests to relax under palm trees with the fragrance of wisteria in the air, offering both active and peaceful ways to enjoy the Côte d’Azur.
