Arrival/Check-In: INNSIDE New York Nomad marks the brand’s first U.S. location after a successful run of contemporary, chic hotels in Europe. Located in Chelsea, it proved ideal for my brief, one-night stay.
After a full day at a seminar, I was ready to check in and unwind. The front desk greeted me warmly, and the quick, efficient check-in set a pleasant tone. A staff member then escorted me to the elevator, showed me to my room and helped with the key—polite, attentive service that made settling in effortless.
Guest Quarters: My room benefited from abundant natural light streaming through oversized, near floor-to-ceiling windows, which made the compact space feel open. While New York rooms are often snug, the smart layout, clean lines and mostly white palette with lime green accent pillows created an airy, modern atmosphere. The design felt stylish yet comfortable and functional.
The European-style bathroom featured a rain shower and a generous white vanity. Instead of single-use travel-sized bottles, the shower supplied full-size dispensers of shampoo, conditioner and body wash—an eco-conscious choice that reduces waste. I noticed several other green practices in the room focused on water conservation and sustainability.
Services/Amenities: Shortly after I arrived, staff delivered a plate of fresh fruit with a welcome note—a thoughtful gesture. The complimentary minibar stocked with water, soda and juice provided added convenience. Although room service is not available around the clock, the hotel’s central location makes late-night dining options easy to find.
The on-site Impero Caffè by Scott Conant offers a full dining program with an attractive lounge and bar. Street-side alfresco seating adds a European flair to the experience, ideal for people-watching or a relaxed meal.
A standout amenity was the exceptionally comfortable robe. Constructed from sweatshirt-like material and outfitted with a hood, it quickly became my favorite comfort item for the evening.
The Experience: The staff were friendly and professional, and the room felt bright and welcoming. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Penn Station, shopping, dining and major sights, so I was able to make the most of my short stay. The convenience of the location and the efficient service made my visit both pleasant and stress-free.
Overall, INNSIDE New York Nomad delivered a streamlined, modern experience with European design influences, attentive service and a convenient Chelsea location. It’s a worthwhile option for business travelers or anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable base while exploring the city.
