Sun Siyam Resorts: Azure Seascapes & Regenerative Tourism Experiences

Sun Siyam Group was founded by Maldivian entrepreneur Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, whose passion for people, nature and local culture shapes the company’s values and guest experiences.

With five resorts across the Maldives and a boutique beach retreat in Sri Lanka set to reopen, Sun Siyam Resorts delivers memorable, affordable-luxury stays for couples, families and active travelers. The group is known for distinctive features — from a massive floating water park and the Maldives’ first horse ranch to overwater villas with ocean slides, floating dining platforms and the world’s first underwater jet pack developed with Cudajet — creating rare and exciting experiences on land and sea.

Recognizing the urgent need for responsible tourism in a changing climate, Sun Siyam launched the Sun Siyam Cares program to protect natural ecosystems and support local communities. The initiative focuses on preserving cultural heritage and promoting sustainable practices such as coral planting, bio-farming and species protection. Guests have opportunities to join conservation activities, helping ensure their visit benefits the environment and local people as well as providing a meaningful travel memory.

The resort collection includes five Maldivian islands, four reachable by seaplane and one by speedboat (Olhuveli). Recent enhancements include two airport guest lounges to extend relaxation before arrival. After a comprehensive renovation, the group’s intimate East Coast Sri Lanka retreat will reopen this summer, offering a renewed beachfront escape.

Sun Siyam places strong emphasis on culinary excellence and wellness alongside adventure. Award-winning chefs and varied dining options are available through flexible luxury meal plans, including affordable all-inclusive offers that encourage guests to sample multiple restaurants. Wellness programs feature specialized spa treatments and expert partners, while on-site dive centers, water-sports providers and curated excursions — from shipwreck explorations to guided snorkeling — deliver adventurous itineraries for all ages.
