As part of its plan to open more than 150 new hotels by 2020, the internationally recognized Sheraton brand from Starwood Hotels & Resorts continues to expand with the opening of Sheraton Ufa Hotel. Located near the southern foothills of the Ural Mountains and about 25 minutes from Ufa International Airport, the new property marks Starwood’s first entry into the oil-rich capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
“Ufa represents a growing market and a strong opportunity for Sheraton,” said Dave Marr, global brand leader for Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. “We are proud to introduce the first internationally branded upscale property in the region. Sheraton Ufa leverages the brand’s first-mover advantage, and we look forward to partnering with Granelle Real Estate LLC to expand Sheraton’s presence in Russia.”
Designed by internationally acclaimed architect Christian Lundwall, the hotel offers 161 well-appointed accommodations, including 150 guestrooms and 11 suites. Each room features modern comforts such as air conditioning, a fully stocked minibar and high-speed internet. The hotel’s location is convenient for business travelers, close to key government institutions, banks and multinational corporations, and provides more than 9,500 square feet of flexible function space for meetings and events.
For leisure guests, Sheraton Ufa includes a spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center and several dining options to suit a range of tastes. The combination of contemporary design, business-ready facilities and wellness amenities positions the hotel as a versatile choice for both corporate and leisure travelers visiting the region.
