Chase Ultimate Rewards Adds Two New Airline and Hotel Transfer Partners

Chase Ultimate Rewards has added two new transfer partners: Aer Lingus and Iberia. Cardholders can now move Chase points into AerClub or Iberia Plus accounts and redeem them for travel across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

The partnerships are available to cardmembers with Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred cards. Points transfer in 1,000-point increments at a 1:1 rate. Both AerClub and Iberia Plus use Avios as their rewards currency, so transferred points retain full value when converted to Avios.

According to Lorraine Chow Hansen, head of Ultimate Rewards and loyalty solutions at Chase, the expanded options reflect customer demand for flexibility and choice. “We know our cardmembers value flexibility and choice when it comes to their rewards, so together with Avios, Aer Lingus and Iberia, we are providing more options to help our shared customers make the most of their credit cards,” she said. “Points are transferred at full value, providing a seamless transfer experience when redeeming for flights and upgrades with AerClub and Iberia Plus.”

Aer Lingus emphasized the benefit for travelers flying from North America to Europe. “Aer Lingus is delighted to partner with Chase Ultimate Rewards and offer its members flights from our 12 North American gateways to Ireland, the United Kingdom and Europe. We look forward to welcoming guests on board to experience our award-winning service,” said Mike Rutter, COO of Aer Lingus.

Iberia highlighted the broader advantages of using Avios across its loyalty ecosystem. “We can’t wait to welcome Chase customers in our Iberia Plus program. They will be able to use their Avios for Iberia flights, but also enjoy a full wide range of benefits with all the partners of our loyalty program,” said Renata Rached, head of loyalty at Iberia.

This expansion gives Chase Ultimate Rewards members more routes and redemption options when booking transatlantic travel. Transferring points to airline partners like Aer Lingus and Iberia can unlock competitive award availability, access to premium cabins, and connections across carrier networks that use Avios. As always, members should review award charts, taxes and fees, and seat availability with AerClub or Iberia Plus before transferring points, since award pricing and availability vary by route and date.

To transfer points, log in to your Chase Ultimate Rewards account, choose the transfer partner, and follow the prompts to send points to your AerClub or Iberia Plus account in 1,000-point increments. Transfers post at a 1:1 ratio and typically appear in the partner account within the timeframe specified by each airline.
