British Airways has signed a codeshare agreement with Bangkok Airways, extending its network across Thailand. Through this partnership, British Airways can sell Bangkok Airways-operated flights connecting through Bangkok (BKK) to three popular Thai destinations: Koh Samui (USM), Phuket (HKT) and Chiang Mai (CNX). The agreement also includes flights between Singapore (SIN) and Koh Samui.
Customers travelling with British Airways will be able to book a single itinerary from London (LHR) to any of these destinations via ba.com, simplifying connections between long-haul services and regional onward flights. British Airways currently operates a daily service to Bangkok and twice-daily flights to Singapore, providing convenient transfer options for passengers heading to Thailand’s key locations.
Peter Wiesner, senior vice president for network management at Bangkok Airways, said the partnership will streamline transfers for passengers arriving on long-haul British Airways routes who need to continue to domestic and regional destinations. Bangkok Airways operates an extensive regional network, serving 20 destinations across Thailand and neighbouring countries, including Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Laos, the Maldives, India, Singapore and Myanmar.
The codeshare arrangement enhances travel flexibility by allowing passengers to book through-tickets, coordinate baggage connections and access combined schedules on a single reservation. For travellers planning trips to Thailand’s major holiday islands and northern cultural centres, the partnership offers improved connectivity and easier planning from the UK and Singapore hubs.
Passengers should check ba.com for timetable details, booking options and any applicable fare conditions when combining British Airways long-haul services with Bangkok Airways regional flights.
