Emirates is expanding its presence in Scandinavia with the introduction of a new daily service between Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) and Dubai International (DXB), starting September 4. The route will be served by a three-class Boeing 777-300ER, configured with 304 economy seats, 42 business-class seats and eight first-class seats.
This new connection makes Emirates the only airline offering direct scheduled flights between Dubai and Sweden. It complements the carrier’s existing Scandinavian operations, including its Copenhagen service launched in 2011, and strengthens air links between Scandinavia and the Middle East.
Passengers traveling on the ARN–DXB route will benefit from Emirates’ onboard amenities across all cabins. The Boeing 777-300ER offers a mix of comfort and long-haul capability, providing travelers with a full-service option for leisure and business journeys between Sweden and the United Arab Emirates.
The introduction of daily flights is expected to support growing demand for direct travel options, facilitate tourism and business ties, and provide enhanced connectivity for onward travel from Dubai to destinations across Emirates’ global network. Travelers from Stockholm will now have a daily choice for a seamless connection to Dubai’s international hub, with access to Emirates’ frequent flyer benefits and service standards.
Emirates’ move to add Stockholm to its route map reflects the airline’s broader strategy to expand network reach and offer more nonstop travel options from key European markets. The airline’s continued investment in long-haul routes to Scandinavia underscores the importance of convenient, direct services for both leisure travelers and corporate customers seeking efficient links between Northern Europe and the Middle East.
With this service, residents and visitors in Sweden gain a direct daily route to Dubai, enhancing travel flexibility and providing another competitive option for flights between Scandinavia and one of the region’s major international gateways.
