Qatar Airways has taken delivery of its first Airbus A380, configured with 48 full-flat beds in business class and eight seats in first class. The airline will operate training flights on the superjumbo before commencing commercial service to London Heathrow on Oct. 10. Qatar Airways currently has nine more A380s on firm order plus three options. Before the end of the year, the carrier expects to add three additional A380s to its fleet, which will support daily services to London and Paris Charles de Gaulle.
