Hilton has partnered with Netflix to give guests the ability to access their personal streaming accounts when staying in Hilton’s Connected Rooms. These specially equipped guestrooms include smart controls for temperature, lighting and television that can be managed through a mobile app. Guests in Connected Rooms can now sign in to their Netflix accounts using the TV remote or through the Hilton Honors app.
Guests who don’t have a Netflix account can sign up and begin streaming immediately during their stay.
“We know our guests want to feel connected while traveling, just as they do at home, so we’re giving them seamless access to their favorite Netflix shows, films and specials while on the road,” said Noelle Eder, executive vice president and chief information and digital officer, Hilton. She added that, inspired by a century of innovation, Hilton continues to identify new ways to meet the evolving needs of travelers.
Bill Holmes, head of business development at Netflix, said the partnership supports Netflix’s goal of enabling members to watch their favorite series, movies and specials whenever and wherever they choose, and expressed enthusiasm about extending the service to Hilton guests worldwide.
