From May 15–20, Vila Vita Parc Resort & Spa in Portugal’s scenic Algarve coast will host the Taste the Stars Fine Wines & Food Fair. The event brings together international chefs and winemakers for a series of dinners and special occasions, highlighted by the Bordeaux Imperial Evening with René Gabriel—widely respected in wine circles—and featuring five globally acclaimed chefs, including Chef of the Century Eckart Witzigmann.
The program includes a variety of themed dinners and experiences. The Grand Swiss Stars Dinner at Ocean Restaurant showcases leading Swiss chefs. The Austrian Rising Stars Dinner highlights promising new talents from Austria’s culinary scene. The Vila Vita All-Star Dinner at Atlântico Restaurant is presented by Ocean Restaurant’s double Michelin-starred chef Hans Neuner. On the beach at Praia Dourada Restaurant, Chiringuito Chic—Barcelona Style offers a relaxed, music-driven evening with a live DJ and paella prepared by Evaristo Triano of Barcelona’s Pez Vela. There is also a Spanish Star Night Dinner that brings together top chefs and wine producers from Spain.
The festival concludes with the popular Kitchen Party in the recently refurbished Clubhouse. Twenty celebrated chefs will each prepare a signature dish; guests can sample one dish from every participant, paired with an assortment of international wines. The lineup and curated pairings promise a rich exploration of contemporary gastronomy and world-class vintages against the backdrop of the Algarve’s coastal beauty.
