Wyndham Boosts Member Perks: New Rewards Program Enhancements

Wyndham Rewards is rolling out updates to its loyalty program that take effect in April.

Under the new structure, free night redemptions start at 7,500 points, and points-plus-cash options begin at 1,500 points. As a result of these adjustments, roughly one-third of Wyndham’s hotel portfolio will offer lower redemption rates, making stays more attainable for many members.

The program also introduces accelerated earning for Gold, Platinum and Diamond members. Instead of the previous annual point bonuses for Platinum and Diamond tiers, members now earn increased base points on qualifying stays: Gold members receive 10% more base points, Platinum members receive 15% more, and Diamond members receive 20% more. This change is designed to reward frequent guests more consistently as they stay throughout the year.

“We know members love the simplicity and generosity of Wyndham Rewards but we also know they want greater flexibility when it comes to where and how they can redeem their points,” said Eliot Hamlisch, senior vice president of global loyalty and partnerships, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. “With these changes, we’re making thousands of hotels available for half the points and what’s more, drastically expanding the ways in which they can earn and redeem those points, making it easier than ever for them to engage with the program.”

Overall, the updates aim to increase flexibility and value for members by lowering the threshold for redemptions and by offering more consistent earning incentives across loyalty tiers. Members who frequently travel or who prefer lower-cost redemption options should find these changes particularly beneficial.
