Canadian carrier WestJet has partnered with McDonald’s Canada to serve McCafé Premium Roast coffee on board across its fleet.
The airline says the offering will be available on all Boeing 737 and 767 aircraft, with regional operator WestJet Encore rolling out the beverage on its flights at a later date.
WestJet’s Boeing 767s operate longer routes, including service to destinations such as London Gatwick and Glasgow.
“Both companies’ high standards for quality and guest satisfaction were reflected in developing new brewing procedures on board,” the airline said. “The result is a uniquely rich, bold taste of McCafé Premium Roast Coffee that will surprise and delight guests on WestJet flights.”
WestJet estimates it will serve about 30,000 complimentary cups of McCafé coffee each flying day. The coffee will be poured into a specially designed McDonald’s double-walled cup that includes the chain’s on-cup rewards collector card with a peelable sticker.
