W Amman opened earlier this month as the first W Hotels property in Jordan. Located in the new Abdali district, the 280-room hotel combines a prime downtown location with design elements inspired by the country’s history and culture.
“Jordan is an incredible country, rich with culture and a deep connection to its history. We could not be happier to make our brand debut in the country here in the capital city,” said Anthony Ingham, global brand leader, W Hotels Worldwide. “Amman, and specifically the exciting new downtown district of Abdali, is an ideal destination for the W brand with its engaging social scene and deeply rooted passion for design, music and fashion.”
The hotel’s lobby makes a strong first impression, with décor that reinterprets Petra’s rock formations and canyon textures alongside motifs drawn from Bedouin weaving. Local artists are featured throughout the public spaces, reflecting Jordanian creative voices and reinforcing the property’s sense of place.
W Amman offers 236 guestrooms and 44 suites, each with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame city and skyline views. Guest bathrooms are contemporary and feature rain showers, while interior accents draw on desert tones and Amman’s urban silhouette. The Extreme WOW Suite is a standout accommodation, with panoramic city views, an in-room DJ deck and a private Jacuzzi for a high-design, social-focused stay.
Dining at W Amman is diverse and designed to appeal to both locals and travelers. Mesh presents a menu of international and Levantine dishes that showcase regional flavors with modern techniques. Aura is the hotel’s cocktail lounge, serving signature drinks and international bar fare in a stylish setting. Enso offers Pan-Asian cuisine in a contemporary dining room aimed at both casual and celebratory occasions.
The WET Deck provides a lively rooftop experience inspired by the Roman Theater’s Atrium, interpreted in a modern, atmospheric way. Positioned as one of Abdali’s new social hotspots, the deck aims to attract day-to-night gatherings, poolside relaxation, and weekend events that complement Amman’s growing nightlife and cultural scene.
With its mix of locally influenced design, varied dining outlets, and social spaces tailored to Amman’s evolving downtown, W Amman seeks to bring W Hotels’ signature energy to the capital while honoring Jordan’s cultural roots.
