Starwood Hotels & Resorts will introduce its W brand to Morocco with the opening of W Marrakech. Scheduled to open in 2017, the 148-room hotel will be situated in Marrakech’s lively Hivernage district, roughly 15 minutes from Marrakech Menara Airport.
The property will feature a signature restaurant and an all-day dining venue, alongside a destination bar and an outdoor bar. Guests will also enjoy the W Living Room, a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional hotel lobby designed for socializing and relaxation. Leisure and wellness amenities will include a full-service spa, a well-equipped fitness center, and an outdoor pool deck. Business travelers will have access to a 24-hour business center.
Starwood already has a presence in Morocco with three hotels: Le Méridien N’Fis in Marrakech, and both Le Royal Mansour Méridien and Sheraton Casablanca Hotel & Towers in Casablanca. The addition of W Marrakech expands the company’s portfolio in the country and brings the W brand’s signature modern style and energetic atmosphere to one of Morocco’s most dynamic neighborhoods.
