W Hotels Debuts in Israel: What Travelers Need to Know

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. will introduce the W brand to Israel in 2015 with the opening of W Tel Aviv – Jaffa and The Residences at W Tel Aviv – Jaffa. The hotel will occupy and restore a historic 19th-century heritage building in the revitalized, ancient port neighborhood of Jaffa. The property will offer 125 guestrooms, a signature restaurant, a destination bar, a full-service spa, a fitness center and a pool deck.

Adjacent to the restored heritage building, a six-story tower will house The Residences at W Tel Aviv – Jaffa, featuring a private entrance and 28 luxury apartments. Residents will benefit from access to the hotel’s amenities and services, combining the privacy of a residential building with the conveniences of a W hotel.

At the time of the announcement, Starwood operated 44 W hotels and retreats worldwide and planned to expand the brand to more than 60 properties by the end of 2015. The W Tel Aviv – Jaffa project reflects the brand’s strategy of pairing contemporary design and lifestyle-driven hospitality with culturally significant settings, bringing a modern, cosmopolitan hospitality experience to one of Israel’s oldest neighborhoods.
