Virgin Hotels has launched its brand website ahead of the opening of its first property in Chicago, scheduled for December. Guests can make reservations for stays beginning January 15, 2015. The site features a responsive design that adapts to desktop computers, tablets and smartphones for easy browsing.
The site showcases animated videos outlining the brand’s vision for a refreshed hotel experience. Key features highlighted include:
- Transparent pricing with no hidden fees: complimentary Wi‑Fi without bandwidth caps, street-level minibar pricing and an end to nickel‑and‑diming.
- Guestrooms designed like pied‑à‑terre suites, split into two distinct zones to combine privacy and functionality.
- An integrated app to control in‑room environment, entertainment, service requests and check-in/check-out processes.
- Thoughtful amenities aimed at the needs of female business travelers.
The flagship hotel will occupy the historic Old Dearborn Bank Building on Wabash Avenue in Chicago’s Loop. This 27‑story Art Deco property will feature 250 guestrooms, 40 one‑bedroom suites and two signature “rock star” suites, along with meeting facilities, restaurants, lounges and other public spaces. Future locations are planned for New York and Nashville. The companion mobile app is expected to launch later this fall.
