Virgin America: Get a Free Uber Ride with Your Flight Booking

Virgin America has partnered with Uber to offer special deals for travelers flying from Dallas. As part of the promotion, customers who purchase any flight departing from Dallas Love Field qualify for a free Uber ride. In addition, the airline’s Friday Night Flights promotion gives Dallas travelers a chance to win an on-demand weekend getaway arranged through Uber in cooperation with Rocketmiles and ScoreBig.

The Uber partnership helps Virgin America customers skip airport parking and get a ride to and from the terminal. The offer is available to new and existing members of Virgin America’s Elevate frequent flyer program: customers who purchase any flight originating at DAL and booked through Oct. 12 are eligible for a free Uber ride up to $20, while supplies last. New Uber users also receive an extra $20 credit for a future ride.

Friday Night Flights runs beginning Sept. 10 and continues every Thursday afternoon through Oct. 8. Uber users who select the Friday Night Flights option within the Uber app become eligible to win a weekend package that includes a mood-lit Virgin America flight from Dallas (DAL) to one of several destinations: Washington, D.C. (IAD or DCA), New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), or Austin (AUS). Each Friday Night Flights prize for two includes a round-trip main cabin flight on Virgin America, round-trip Uber transportation, a two-night stay at a four-star hotel booked through Rocketmiles, and concert tickets in the destination city provided by ScoreBig.

To participate, enter the promo code VXDALFNF in the Uber app. Open the app each Thursday at 3 p.m. and request the Friday Night Flights option. The earliest users to submit a request on Thursdays will be selected for the immediate weekend getaway, which departs the next day. Winners receive a complete itinerary coordinated by Virgin America, Uber, Rocketmiles and ScoreBig.

Featured concerts for the promotion include:

  • Washington, D.C.: Jason Aldean (Sept. 12)
  • Los Angeles: Foo Fighters (Sept. 19)
  • San Francisco: AC/DC (Sept. 25)
  • New York City: Zedd (Oct. 2)
  • Austin: Austin City Limits festival (Oct. 9–11)
