Vail Resorts 2026 Ski Season Updates: New Passes, Trails & Safety

Ski season is nearly here, and Vail Resorts is rolling out several notable updates and enhancements across its properties.

Park City will debut a $15 million renovation at the Grand Summit Hotel, which has been rebranded as a RockResort, Vail Resorts’ luxury hotel collection. Other properties receiving fresh updates include DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Park City, The Lodge at Vail (a RockResort) and The Pines Lodge (a RockResort), each revealing refreshed designs and upgraded amenities following recent renovations.

To help guests acclimate to higher elevations, several resorts have introduced altitude-focused amenities and services. One Ski Hill Place, a RockResort, now offers oxygen treatments and provides water and sunscreen to support guest comfort at altitude. RockResorts Spas at The Lodge at Vail and The Arrabelle at Vail Square, both RockResorts, have introduced Altitude Recovery Kits that include oxygen, a peppermint oil foot rub, Zaca tablets and a Liquid IV mocktail to ease the transition to thinner air.

Culinary and activity programming has also expanded. Guests at The Osprey at Beaver Creek, a RockResort, can take part in an exclusive chef-led session covering smoking, curing, fermenting and pickling techniques while enjoying a smoky Old Fashioned. Heavenly Mountain Resort now offers a GoPro Ski and Ride School, pairing guests with a GoPro-certified instructor for a guided mountain tour. Participants receive a memory card with footage from the day and a discount on GoPro cameras and accessories at nearby retailers.

Pet-friendly services are getting attention as well. The Arrabelle at Vail Square, a RockResort, offers visiting dogs a complimentary bottle of Henry Wine, while The Pines Lodge’s Pines Pup Bucket List program provides flair for four-legged guests, including access to GoPros for capturing adventures, spa treatments and additional pet-focused amenities.

These enhancements reflect Vail Resorts’ focus on luxury accommodations, innovative guest services and expanded experiences—whether travelers seek upgraded rooms, altitude support, culinary education or pet-friendly perks during their winter getaway.
