Luxury Upgrades for Your Baja Adventure

A September opening is planned for the new Solaz Resort in Los Cabos. The property features 128 ocean-view guestrooms, including 115 deluxe rooms and 13 suites, each with a private entrance and patio. Designed by Mexican architects Sordo Madaleno with original artwork by renowned Mexican artist César López-Negrete, the resort sits on a 34-acre coastal site that gracefully links desert and sea.

The resort’s architecture and landscaping emphasize gentle curves and open terraces that frame views of the Sea of Cortez. Many rooms include private terraces and outdoor spaces, and interior design favors modern furnishings and finishes. Select accommodations feature indoor and outdoor marble showers to enhance the connection between the guestroom and the surrounding environment.

César López-Negrete contributed original pieces throughout the property, including sculpture and photography that draw on local history and folklore. These works are integrated into public areas and guest accommodations to create a cohesive visual narrative that complements the resort’s contemporary aesthetic.

Onsite amenities include complimentary WiFi and a dedicated “Artisan” concierge who helps curate personalized experiences. The resort offers a range of water activities and four Olympic-sized infinity pools crafted from butterfly green granite, a material chosen to echo the teal tones of the Sea of Cortez.

The Ojo de Liebre Spa provides an extensive menu of treatments anchored by Thalasso Therapy. Spa offerings range from chronotherapy light showers and aromatherapy sessions to specialized features such as a Himalayan Salt Igloo and both saltwater and freshwater therapy pools. These facilities are designed to support relaxation, recovery, and wellbeing using seawater-based and thermal treatments.

Solaz Resort Los Cabos is part of Marriott International’s The Luxury Collection, a portfolio of distinctive hotels and resorts located in premier destinations around the world. The resort combines contemporary design, locally inspired art, and thoughtful amenities to create an elevated coastal retreat for travelers seeking both comfort and cultural resonance.
