Sofitel New York will celebrate April Fool’s Day with a playful French twist this year at its acclaimed Gaby Brasserie Française.
On April 1, the Midtown hotel—convenient to many of Manhattan’s top attractions—will honor the French Poisson d’Avril tradition with an evening of surprise and delight at Gaby Brasserie Française from 6–10 p.m. As part of the festivities, a paper fish will be discreetly taped to the back of one diner at each table. Instead of embarrassment, the diner who discovers the fish will be rewarded with a surprise treat.
Prizes may include shared appetizers, a selection of desserts, or glasses of wine. Additionally, three tables will be selected to receive a complimentary bottle of wine, and one lucky table will win a $100 dinner certificate for two.
Guests are invited to share their favorite April Fool’s memories and pranks on Sofitel New York’s social channels using the hashtags #GabyNYC and “WishForAFish.”
