South America is our business. LAN Airlines and TAM Airlines, now united under LATAM Airlines Group, provide the most extensive network of routes to, from and within South America. Serving more than 111 destinations, LATAM offers unmatched connectivity across the region for both business and leisure travelers. Since the merger of LAN and TAM in June 2012, LATAM has become one of the world’s leading airline groups, giving U.S.-based travelers seamless access from Miami, Orlando, Los Angeles and New York to more than 40 cities in Brazil and nearly 70 destinations throughout the rest of South America.
2014 will be a huge year for travel to South America with the World Cup hosted in Brazil, and LATAM is well positioned to serve visitors heading to the tournament. TAM operates the most extensive domestic network within Brazil, reaching all 12 host cities for World Cup matches and offering convenient connections across the country.
Your South America experience begins the moment you board. Passengers in Premium cabins enjoy carefully curated wine selections: LAN’s Premium Business list is chosen by South America’s only Master Sommelier, Hector Vergara, while TAM’s First and Business wine offerings are overseen by respected Brazilian wine consultant Arthur Azevedo. LAN and TAM have also revealed a unified interior design for incoming Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-900 aircraft, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2014. The new cabin designs—reflecting South American colors, textures and natural tones—aim to deliver comfort and a warm, welcoming atmosphere in both Premium Business and Economy cabins. Reflecting their high standards, LAN and TAM have consistently ranked at the top of Skytrax’s “Best Airlines in South America” in recent years.
TAM Airlines brings Brazil to oneworld. TAM has joined LAN within the oneworld alliance, expanding benefits for frequent flyers and enabling passengers to earn qualifying miles on multiple partner carriers. Even after transitioning out of Star Alliance, TAM continues to maintain select partnerships so passengers can still earn and redeem miles with certain carriers.
New and redesigned VIP lounges. LATAM operates eight VIP lounges across the Americas, available to passengers traveling in LAN Premium Business and TAM Business and First classes. These lounges—in Bogotá, Buenos Aires (Ezeiza), Miami, Santiago and São Paulo—provide comfortable spaces to relax before or between flights. Recent redesigns in Bogotá and Buenos Aires, led by Chilean architect Matías Klotz in collaboration with Studio Putnam, introduced enhanced amenities such as private bathrooms and showers, chaise longues for rest, business centers, children’s areas, and food and beverage selections inspired by the region’s culinary traditions. LATAM VIP lounges are accessible for passengers on regional and international itineraries.
New 2014 LAN Premium Business wine list. LAN’s 2014 Premium Business wine list features 30 bottles personally selected by Master Sommelier Hector Vergara. These wines are served onboard LAN Premium Business cabins on Boeing 787, 767 and Airbus A340 aircraft; a curated selection is also available in Premium Economy on select Airbus A320 flights.
