Cuba ranks as the top up-and-coming luxury travel destination, according to a recent survey released by Travel Leaders Group.
Other notable emerging luxury destinations include the United Arab Emirates, African safaris, Iceland and Antarctica.
Survey results show more than 86 percent of participating luxury travel agents reported that luxury travel bookings are higher than or comparable to 2015 levels. Beyond North America, the leading international luxury choices are European river cruises, Italy, Mediterranean cruises, Australia and England. The survey polled 964 of Travel Leaders Group’s luxury travel specialists.
“Today’s luxury traveler seeks extraordinary, authentic and memorable experiences—not just five-star hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants. It’s therefore not surprising that Cuba, Antarctica and African safaris rank among the top up-and-coming luxury travel destinations, according to our luxury travel agents across the United States,” said Ninan Chacko, CEO of Travel Leaders Group. “Travel Leaders Group agents book more luxury travel than anyone else, and their expertise is unmatched. Our agents invest time in specializing in and personally experiencing destinations that appeal to affluent clients. That firsthand knowledge allows them to confidently advise clients and ensure each luxury trip exceeds expectations.”
