Guestrooms are appointed with bespoke furnishings and original Nova Scotia artwork, many offering expansive ocean or harbor views. The design balances contemporary comfort with local textures and finishes, creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects Halifax’s maritime roots.

On the first floor, Drift presents modern interpretations of Atlantic Canadian cuisine, with dining areas that overlook the harbor and the striking Tidal Beacon art installation. For a more intimate evening, BKS — a hidden speakeasy reserved for hotel guests — serves expertly crafted cocktails and small plates alongside panoramic city views.

Beyond its restaurants and bars, Muir offers a comprehensive wellness center that includes fitness facilities, a vitality spa pool and a schedule of studio fitness classes. The hotel’s waterfront location provides direct access to outdoor activities such as kayaking and cycling along the shore, making it easy for guests to enjoy active days by the sea.

The hotel also offers curated experiences through The Luxury Collection’s Destination Discovery program. Highlights include private air-and-sea expeditions to the Cape Breton Highlands and guided art conversations in True Colours, the hotel’s private gallery. A private yacht and motorboat program is available for guests who wish to explore the Atlantic from the water.

Dining-focused experiences extend to the brand’s Epicurean Moments, which celebrate regional traditions and flavors. Activities include a daily toast aligned with Halifax’s historic Noon Gun tradition and a hands-on mixology class hosted in BKS, giving guests the chance to learn cocktail techniques while sampling locally inspired creations.

With its combination of waterfront access, local art and curated programming, Muir, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Halifax aims to deliver a distinctive Atlantic Canadian stay that blends cultural discovery, active pursuits and refined hospitality.
