The Dominick Hotel Opens Rooftop Bar for Summer in New York

With rooftop season in full swing, now is the perfect time to visit one of New York City’s resort-style rooftop retreats for chilled summer cocktails and sweeping city views.

The Dominick hotel on Spring Street in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood offers a resort-like rooftop experience at Terrace on 7. This elevated oasis includes an outdoor pool, poolside spa treatments and private cabanas designed to create a relaxing escape for hotel guests and visitors. While pool access is reserved for hotel guests, visitors are welcome to enjoy spa services, treatments and food and drinks from the rooftop restaurant El Ta’koy.

Reopened for the season, Terrace on 7 combines indoor and outdoor spaces with exclusive cabanas and plentiful sun loungers. The terrace hosts an outpost of El Ta’koy, an Asian-Hawaiian concept serving seafood- and vegetable-forward dishes alongside large-format rum, tequila and mezcal cocktails ideal for sharing. The outdoor terrace typically closes after Labor Day in September.

On the same floor as the rooftop is the Sisley-Paris Spa, an award-winning sanctuary with nine treatment rooms and three private spa suites that include balconies. The spa offers an exclusive menu of treatments and remains open year-round, providing guests with wellness options regardless of the season.

If summer weather turns rainy, Dominick’s signature restaurant Vestry, led by Chef Shaun Hergatt, offers a Michelin-recognized dining experience with a seasonal menu that highlights seafood and vegetables, often enhanced by Japanese-inspired flavors. Vestry provides both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a reliable option regardless of conditions.

The Dominick rises 46 stories and contains 391 guestrooms, each designed with floor-to-ceiling windows to showcase striking city views. The hotel’s two-story lobby blends intimate and dramatic design elements—mixing rich textures and raw materials—to reflect the character of SoHo’s vibrant neighborhood.
