Tea, Treats, and Tipples: Creative Sips and Sweet Pairings

Resorts and hotels across Phoenix are rolling out fresh takes on afternoon tea and inventive cocktails. At the stylish and eclectic The Camby, the Tipsy Tea Party pairs sweet and savory bites with tea served in whimsical, Mad Hatter–style cups, offering a playful twist on the traditional ritual. If you prefer stronger drinks, Clever Koi features an all-day happy hour where inventive cocktails like the Thai basil gimlet and passion fruit Bellini share the menu with signature concoctions such as the Almost Always Bad News—made with Hamilton Rum, Hamilton 151, a house zombie mix, grapefruit and lime—and You Can Call on Tyrone, which blends Jelineck Fernet Cynar, Nola coffee liqueur and crème de cacao.

From Nov. 10–12, The Hermosa Inn will present Palette to Palate, a three-day art retreat that brings together nationally recognized artists and culinary programming. The event includes hands-on workshops led by acclaimed artists, a live cooking demonstration by executive chef Jeremy Pacheco, and the inaugural UnmistakablyArizona Harvest, a curated showcase of the state’s top culinary talent, seasonal produce, artisan dairy products and local wines.

For guests looking to extend their stay, The Hermosa Inn offers the Autumn Arts Adventure package. The offer begins with a seasonal signature cocktail at check-in and includes overnight accommodations in a luxury casita, an upgrade upon arrival when available, and early check-in and late check-out based on availability. The package also provides a $25 nightly food-and-beverage credit and two daily tickets to nearby cultural attractions, with options such as the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix Art Museum, Heard Museum and Scottsdale Museum of the West. Rates for the Autumn Arts Adventure start at $299 per night.
