Boutique hotel brand Sir Hotels has opened a new property on the Mediterranean island of Ibiza. Sir Joan is the collection’s first Spanish address and occupies a central position overlooking the port and the old town. The hotel offers 38 rooms and suites, including two penthouses, each designed with a yacht-like atmosphere by award-winning architects and interior designers Baranowitz + Kronenberg.

The interiors showcase curated works by Spanish artists such as Joan Hernández Pijuan and Carlos Irijalba, along with photography by Ibiza-based photographer Landry A. These pieces complement the nautical-inspired design and contribute to a refined, contemporary atmosphere throughout the property.
Sir Joan’s guest experience is supported by the brand’s Sir Explore program, which offers private tours, wellness activities, culinary experiences and artisan-led workshops designed to connect visitors with Ibiza’s landscape and culture. The program emphasizes local discovery, from guided excursions to hands-on classes that introduce guests to regional crafts and traditions.
Dining at the hotel is led by restaurateurs Yossi Eliyahoo and Liran Wizman of The Entourage Group. The on-site outlets include THE BUTCHER and IZAKAYA Asian Kitchen & Bar, both reflecting a food-focused approach that blends local ingredients with international flavors. These dining venues aim to serve guests and local visitors alike, offering thoughtfully curated menus in distinctive settings.
Located within easy reach of the town’s historic areas and the vibrant marina, Sir Joan combines contemporary design with a strong sense of place. The hotel’s relatively small scale—38 rooms and suites—allows for a more intimate, attentive service model, while the penthouses provide elevated privacy and views over the water and old town rooftops.
In addition to art and dining, the property’s programming supports wellness and relaxation. Guests can book personalized wellness sessions and treatments intended to complement outdoor activities and local exploration. The hotel’s services are tailored to encourage a balance of leisurely downtime, cultural immersion and active discovery across Ibiza.
Sir Joan positions itself as a destination for travelers seeking a boutique experience that merges refined design, local art and culinary ambition. Its central location, curated interiors and immersive guest programming make it a notable addition to Ibiza’s hospitality scene, appealing to visitors who value design-led accommodations with a strong connection to the island’s character.
