Etihad Airways is offering passengers on its long-haul flights the chance to watch every match of the FIFA World Cup live from 30,000 feet. The national carrier of the United Arab Emirates is streaming all 64 games through its E-box interactive in-flight entertainment system. Equipped with Panasonic screens at every seat across all three cabins, the system allows guests to follow the tournament throughout the month. Peter Baumgartner, COO of Etihad Airways, said: “The FIFA World Cup is the biggest and most exciting sporting event in the world and I’m delighted that all our guests will be able to watch every match while they fly with us on their long-haul business or holiday flights. I hope that they sit back, relax and enjoy the great football action.” The tournament has already begun and will conclude with the final on Sunday, July 13.
