Starwood Expands Operations Across Latin America

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has further strengthened its presence in Latin America with the opening of the Sheraton Reserva do Paiva Hotel and Convention Center, its eighth property in Brazil’s northeastern region. Situated about 30 minutes from Recife and just one block from a scenic stretch of northeastern coastline, the hotel is the first international upper-upscale property in Reserva do Paiva.

The new hotel offers 298 guestrooms, including 18 Club Suites and a spacious Presidential Suite measuring approximately 1,300 square feet—one of the largest in the area. Guests can enjoy a comprehensive range of amenities: a 6,500-square-foot spa, a fully equipped fitness center, a top-floor lounge with panoramic views, two on-site restaurants, and a beach club that features a lounge area, private cabanas, a large swimming pool and direct beach access.

This opening adds to Starwood’s growing Latin American portfolio, which currently includes about 80 hotels across nine brands. Within that collection are 33 Sheraton properties spanning 12 countries, and the company reports a development pipeline that includes around 20 additional hotels.
