Star Alliance Unveils Redesigned Website With Faster Booking Features

Star Alliance has unveiled a refreshed website with a bold visual design and mobile-friendly navigation that makes its features easy to use on screens of any size. The redesign is part of the alliance’s broader effort to better serve modern travelers by delivering timely, relevant information wherever they are. Content on the site is tailored to the needs of travelers who use the alliance’s network of 28 member airlines.

“We have responded to the fact that more and more customers want to have the latest information at their fingertips, wherever they are,” said Justin Erbacci, vice president for customer experience and information technology at Star Alliance. “The new site allows us to bring more tailored information to Alliance customers, extending and complementing the information offered by each of our member airlines’ own web presence.”

The updated site includes a searchable global lounge database with information on more than 1,000 lounges for customers traveling in first or business class and for Star Alliance Gold members. In addition, the site provides concise airport information for destinations across the network. For major hubs, users will find expanded details and Star Alliance–specific maps that help plan connections and locate alliance services within terminals.

Beyond lounges and airport guides, the redesign focuses on clarity and usability: simplified navigation, clearer presentation of membership benefits, and improved access to tools that Alliance travelers use most often. The mobile-optimized layout ensures that essential information such as lounge locations, terminal maps, and membership benefits is accessible quickly on smartphones and tablets.

By concentrating on traveler needs and streamlining access to key services, the new site aims to make journey planning easier for customers who regularly travel across multiple member airlines. The alliance’s approach emphasizes practical, up-to-date content that complements each carrier’s own digital offerings while providing a unified resource for frequent flyers and alliance members.
