St. Giles New York Hotel — Midtown Manhattan Rooms & Deals

Arrival/Check-in: I arrived at St. Giles Hotel – The Court earlier than expected and initially found my room unavailable. The staff handled the situation gracefully: the manager on duty and the director of accommodations upgraded me to a beautiful top‑floor corner suite. That welcome upgrade turned out to be perfect for my visit—during a small family gathering in New York we were able to use the suite for an evening of dinner and socializing, which made the stay even more enjoyable. (25/30)

Guest Quarters: The corner suite was spacious and well designed, with a relaxed, slightly retro vibe and clean-lined furnishings. Large, soft lights created a warm atmosphere over generous seating, which included a sectional sofa and additional chairs in the living area, plus a formal dining area with seating for eight. In‑room entertainment featured a music system and wall‑mounted widescreen televisions in both the living and sleeping areas. The color palette mixed warm reds and browns, lending a cozy feel. The suite also included a side room where the hotel arranged snacks and beverages; it was an effective use of space, though a dedicated beverage or bar sink would have been a nice addition. (28/30)

Services/Amenities: Staff at every level treated me like a long‑term guest, attentive and professional. The Court sits next to its sister property, St. Giles Hotel – The Tuscany, which expands dining options and houses the fitness center with modern strength and cardio equipment. The Court itself features a stylish lobby lounge, LexBar, known for its contemporary ambiance and signature drinks. Between the lobby and LexBar there is a comfortable seating area with a gas fireplace, creating an inviting spot for quieter conversation. The Icon breakfast room serves substantial morning fare and opens onto a pleasant outdoor patio. Overall, amenities and service combined to make a very comfortable stay. (38/40)

The Experience: Located in Murray Hill, St. Giles is an excellent base for exploring Manhattan. It is close to Grand Central Terminal and within walking distance of Fifth Avenue, Times Square and Rockefeller Center. My stay was comfortable and satisfying, thanks largely to the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff throughout my visit.
