Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa has completed an expansion and full refurbishment of its spa facilities, guided by interior designer Lynne Beyer.
The Women’s Spa grew from 12,000 to 13,200 square feet and now includes a new Women’s Quiet Room and an expanded steam room that is twice its former size. The Quiet Room is a windowless, cocoon-like space intended as a tranquil alternative to the main women’s lounge. Design elements and artwork focus on soft curves and a muted color palette. Luminescent panels divide a row of 12 chaise lounges, each equipped with a small side table and dimmable lighting to create personalized relaxation zones.
The women’s foyer was refreshed with a warm color scheme that emphasizes browns and natural tones. Decorative screens provide discreet separation between the foyer and the locker room, while expanded seating in the women’s lounge enhances comfort. The locker room was updated to include an additional shower, improving guest convenience.
The Men’s Spa retains its original footprint but was fully updated with new finishes and furnishings. The foyer now includes a marble-top game table, club chair seating and backlit lattice screens that introduce texture and subtle lighting. A revised color palette of gray and tan defines the Men’s Lounge, which features leather-upholstered chairs and architectural etchings used as artwork. For added security and convenience, the men’s lockers have been upgraded with digital locks.
