Sail Away from Cannes: Private Yacht Tours and Day Cruises

It’s time to polish your sailing ship. From September 12–17 the Cannes Yachting Festival returns to the legendary French seaside town of Cannes. Now in its 40th edition, the festival takes place in the town’s two ports, Vieux Port and Port Pierre Canto, and attracts visitors from around the world to see the world premieres of new vessels and to explore a wide selection of yachts, superyachts, sailing boats, multihulls and small motorboats.

Guests can watch sea trials, attend craftsmanship and shipbuilding judging, and visit the Luxury Gallery to browse displays from leading manufacturers of marine and lifestyle products. The Luxury Gallery features jewelry, watches, fashion, accessories, design and art, as well as furnishings, linens, décor, high‑tech products and luxury services tailored to the boating lifestyle.

As Europe’s largest and most prestigious in‑water show, the festival also hosts a Concours d’Élégance that showcases exceptional and unique vintage boats and classic yachts alongside the latest craft in a dramatic water parade. This competition takes place in the Vieux Port and highlights the heritage and timeless elegance of classic boatbuilding while celebrating modern design and innovation.

As the first major stop on the international boating calendar, the Cannes Yachting Festival traditionally unveils more new models than any other show. Exhibitors present engines, equipment and the newest advancements in marine technology, so visitors can see the full spectrum of current developments in propulsion, hull design, materials and onboard systems.

The festival footprint includes indoor space within the Palais des Festivals and extensive outdoor waterfront areas organized into themed zones. The Tender zone is dedicated to day boats used for short transfers between shore and yachts, offering practical solutions for guests and crew. The Toys zone presents the latest nautical toys and leisure equipment for yachting enthusiasts, from towable water toys to advanced personal watercraft and inflatable tenders.

On the rooftop of the Palais des Festivals, the Panoramic restaurant provides elevated views over the harbor and serves a menu that complements the festival’s luxury atmosphere. Throughout the event, visitors can combine on‑water experiences with hospitality, design and lifestyle displays, making the Cannes Yachting Festival a comprehensive showcase for both professionals and enthusiasts in the boating world.

Whether you’re scouting for a new craft, assessing the latest marine technologies, admiring classic boats or sampling high‑end lifestyle offerings, the Cannes Yachting Festival delivers a concentrated, international view of the yachting sector in a uniquely scenic setting.
