Terranea Resort on the Palos Verdes Peninsula near Los Angeles sets a romantic scene for couples this Valentine’s Day. Part of the Destination Hotels collection of upscale independent properties, the resort will host its inaugural Valentine’s Ball on Feb. 13. The Roaring Twenties–themed evening includes live entertainment, a three-course plated dinner and a premium open bar, with two seatings at 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $140 per person.
For those who want to turn the celebration into a weekend escape, Terranea’s Romance package includes overnight accommodations, a bottle of sparkling wine, chocolate-dipped strawberries, a rose-petal bath and daily breakfast. The Spa at Terranea offers several couple-focused treatments designed to enhance relaxation and connection. Families are welcome as well. Children ages 3–12 can take part in the Tide Pool Kids Club during February, with advance reservations; the program is offering 40 percent off full camp sessions and 25 percent off fun-hour sessions for the month.
