Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park Reveals Major Hotel Updates

The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park has completed a comprehensive transformation of its property, introducing two new presidential suites, an enhanced club lounge and a refreshed lobby lounge. The renovation also includes custom-made furnishings throughout and an updated La Prairie Spa.

These improvements aim to blend the building’s historic character with contemporary refinement, creating a serene urban retreat in a prime Central Park location.

“Drawing inspiration from our front garden, the reawakening embodies the sights, sounds and palette of Central Park,” said Winfred van Workum, general manager of The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park. “We look forward to heightening the guest experience with bespoke New York touches and welcoming our esteemed guests to a new era of modern luxury.”

Guestrooms have been redesigned to reflect the aesthetics of a park-facing penthouse. New furnishings include marble coffee tables and comfortable lounge settees, while custom carpeting incorporates a Matisse sketch and Fornasetti-inspired wallpaper introduces a soft, cloud-like pattern. The presidential suites receive additional bespoke details and elevated finishes, delivering a more personalized luxury stay. Modern conveniences have been added as well, such as smart televisions and built-in power outlets in bedside tables.

Throughout the hotel, walls are now adorned with striking photography by local artists, bringing a distinctly New York creative sensibility to the public spaces and corridors.

Additional updates are planned for the coming year, with remodels to the on-site bar and restaurant expected as part of the ongoing effort to refine the hotel’s food, beverage and social spaces.
