Richard Branson Opens New Bunyola Hotel in Mallorca, Spain

Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Limited Edition has opened Son Bunyola Hotel in Mallorca, Spain, following the careful restoration of a 16th-century finca that overlooks the Tramuntana Mountains. The newly opened hotel joins three private luxury villas on the estate, which covers around 1,300 acres and sits within a UNESCO World Heritage landscape.

“This is such an exciting time as we launch the first European hotel for Virgin Limited Edition. And I couldn’t be prouder of this passion project that will undoubtedly live up to all of the Virgin Limited Edition values and experiences in one of the most incredible locations in Mallorca,” said Vincent Padioleau, general manager of Son Bunyola Hotel and Villas.

The hotel offers 26 guestrooms and suites, including The Tafona, which occupies the estate’s former olive press. Dining options include two restaurants: a Mediterranean restaurant and a tapas concept led by executive chef Samuel G. Galdón. Guests can enjoy an extensive wellness and leisure program featuring two spa treatment rooms, a pool longer than 90 feet, aqua bikes, pickleball and tennis courts, outdoor yoga, and guided walks through the surrounding mountains and countryside.
