Nestled along Bali’s southwestern shore, Regent Hotels & Resorts has opened its long‑awaited Indonesian property following IHG Hotels & Resorts’ acquisition of the brand in 2018. This beachfront resort, designed by WATG, introduces one of the world’s first Regent Spa experiences and offers five distinct dining venues, nine swimming pools and an exclusive Regent Club.

Regent Bali Canggu comprises 150 suites and villas, many with garden or ocean views and some offering direct lagoon access. The resort redefines spacious luxury: entry-level Studio Suites begin at 818 square feet and feature oasis-style bathrooms with hand-carved teak bathtubs and rain showers.
For larger parties, the Two-Bedroom Penthouse Oceanfront includes expansive living areas, a fully equipped kitchen, a private terrace and a 322-square-foot infinity pool overlooking the Indian Ocean. The One-Bedroom Beachfront Villa spans 3,519 square feet of indoor and outdoor living, with ocean vistas, a private pool and a dedicated pantry. Villa guests also enjoy personalized Regent Club benefits that heighten the stay experience.

The 14-acre resort interprets Balinese tropical living through the use of timber and andesite stone, materials that honor the island’s natural resources. Hirsch Bedner Associates shaped the interior aesthetic with a palette of natural tones, textured textiles and artisanal details. Design elements incorporate Indonesian batik and Balinese art to celebrate regional craftsmanship, while landscape architect John Pettigrew framed the architecture with native plants and lush gardens that complement the coastal setting.
Dining is a focal point at Regent Bali Canggu, with five distinctive outlets. Taru, the resort’s signature restaurant, presents authentic Indonesian fare such as rendang sapi and udang bakar woku. Sazón, led by Chef Andrew Walsh, brings a Spanish tapas concept to Batu Bolong Beach, featuring inventive small plates and classics—signature highlights include arroz negro (squid ink paella) and an octopus with potato espuma, paired with sherry and Cava selections. Cure offers a refined modern European menu infused with Asian influences.
“Sazón captures the lively spirit of Barcelona while reflecting Canggu’s vibrant energy,” said Chef Walsh. “Cure, situated on the beachfront, showcases my approach to refined modern European cuisine shaped by travels across Asia. Rooted in the idea of ‘to take care,’ Cure celebrates exceptional food, wine and cultural tradition.”

The Regent Spa & Wellness marks the brand’s first dedicated spa, rooted in Bali’s wellness traditions. Spa treatments are designed to restore balance to mind, body and spirit and include scrubs, wraps, massages and advanced skincare treatments using Kerstin Florian products. The spa complex includes seven treatment rooms, a couple’s suite, a sauna, a plunge pool and a Beauty Hub for hands, feet and facial services. A Health Club with a yoga and stretching studio and a fully equipped Technogym fitness facility supports active stays. Throughout the resort, nine pools provide relaxation zones, each accompanied by private cabanas.
Guests receive tailored support from a Regent Experience Agent, ensuring personalized service and smooth coordination from arrival through departure. On arrival to suites and villas, a complimentary Refreshment Gallery offers alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages and locally sourced gourmet snacks that showcase Bali’s flavors.

Art throughout the resort draws inspiration from The Legend of The Bali Strait and the cultural presence of Besakih Temple on Mount Agung’s slopes. Romanian artist Saddo contributed illustrations that weave local symbols—such as Manik Angkeran, the Besukih Dragon and Canggu’s iconic waves—into a cohesive visual narrative.
The Regent Club provides an elevated, full‑service lounge experience for select one‑bedroom suites, villas and two‑bedroom penthouses, and is available as an add‑on for other room categories. Club privileges include a crafted à la carte breakfast, an airy lounge for afternoon tea, a private infinity pool with cabanas and an evening cocktail program featuring complimentary Champagne.
Families are well catered for: Regent Kids offers an engaging indoor and outdoor playground with interactive activities designed to entertain and educate younger guests, ensuring a comfortable stay for families seeking both relaxation and discovery.
