Qatar Airways Launches First A350 Route: Flight Details & Schedule

Qatar Airways, the global launch customer for the Airbus A350 XWB wide‑body aircraft, will begin commercial service to Frankfurt (FRA) next year. The airline plans to operate a daily non‑stop flight between Doha (DOH) and the German financial hub starting in January 2015. The A350 XWB used on the route seats 283 passengers in a dual‑cabin configuration, including 36 lie‑flat business class seats. Qatar Airways has 80 A350s on order and expects to introduce eight of them into its fleet before the end of 2015.

“This year has truly been a Year of the Fleet for Qatar Airways,” said Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways. “The airline has reaffirmed its commitment to onboard quality and passenger comfort by bringing today’s leading aviation technology into service. We look forward to inaugurating our first A350 on the Doha–Frankfurt route and to deploying this next‑generation aircraft across many other cities in our expanding network.”
