Qatar Airways Launches Dreamliner Flights to India: Routes & Dates

Qatar Airways has announced that it will introduce Boeing 787 Dreamliner service to India beginning on September 1. The airline will operate daily Dreamliner flights from Doha (DOH) to both New Delhi (DEL) and Bengaluru (BLR). Each 787 will offer 254 seats total, including 22 business-class seats and 232 economy-class seats, providing an upgraded onboard experience for travelers on these routes.

Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways, said the decision to deploy the Dreamliner on these important Indian routes reflects the airline’s commitment to deliver an exceptional travel experience. Passengers flying to and from Delhi and Bengaluru can expect the enhanced comfort and modern amenities associated with the Dreamliner fleet.

Qatar Airways already operates Dreamliner services to several international destinations, including Dubai (DXB), London (LHR), Munich (MUC), Stockholm (ARN), Riyadh (RUH), Jeddah (JED), Zurich (ZRH) and Frankfurt (FRA). The carrier also plans to begin Dreamliner flights to Oslo (OSL) and Copenhagen (CPH) starting in September, further expanding the aircraft’s network presence.

The 787 Dreamliner is known for features that improve passenger comfort on medium- and long-haul routes: a quieter cabin, higher cabin humidity, larger windows, improved air filtration and smoother ride characteristics. On Qatar Airways’ configured 254-seat Dreamliner, business-class passengers will benefit from the airline’s premium seating and service, while economy travelers will have access to the carrier’s standard in-flight entertainment and amenities.

Introducing the Dreamliner on the Delhi and Bengaluru routes is likely to support demand on these busy city pairs by offering daily frequency with a modern widebody aircraft. For passengers, the switch can mean a more comfortable journey, particularly on overnight and long daytime sectors where improved cabin environment and lower noise help reduce travel fatigue.

Qatar Airways’ expansion of Dreamliner operations is part of the airline’s ongoing fleet and network strategy to match aircraft types to market demand while enhancing the passenger experience. Travelers planning trips between Doha and India in September and beyond should check flight schedules and aircraft type when booking to confirm Dreamliner availability on their desired flights.
