Princess Cruises has introduced the Princess Luxury Bed to deliver a superior night’s sleep at sea. The new bed features a plush two-inch pillow top layered over a nine-inch, single-sided medium-firm mattress engineered with individually wrapped coils to minimize partner disturbance. The sleep system is finished with a European-style duvet and Jacquard-woven cotton linens for a comfortable, hotel-quality feel. Princess plans to install more than 44,000 of these beds across its fleet through 2018.
Jan Swartz, president of Princess Cruises, said the investment is aimed at helping guests return from their voyages feeling refreshed and renewed. The new bed was developed in collaboration with experts in sleep science and design, focusing on comfort and overall wellness to provide the most restorative sleep possible while onboard.
The Princess Luxury Bed upgrade is part of a broader effort to enhance onboard accommodations and guest experience. By standardizing a higher-quality mattress and bedding across cabins, Princess ensures consistent comfort for solo travelers and couples alike.
