Park Terrace Hotel Review: Rooms, Amenities & Location Guide

ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: I arrived at JFK for Global Traveler’s Wines on the Wing event this spring, marking my first trip to New York in a decade. My shuttle dropped me at the Park Terrace Hotel, located beside Bryant Park in Midtown. Although my room wasn’t ready immediately, front desk staff Arlette and Giovanni kindly accepted my luggage while I grabbed a late lunch at the nearby Heritage Restaurant and Bakery. Within the hour the hotel emailed to confirm my room was prepared. After a quick check-in I received keys to a corner room on the 11th floor.

GUEST QUARTERS: The corner room delivered an impressive view and felt like a calm, contemporary retreat. The palette of seafoam green, cream and taupe created a spa-like atmosphere that encouraged relaxation. The king-sized bed was exceptionally comfortable, layered with soft pillows and a textured white bedspread. Convenient tech features, including a Bose speaker and multiple power outlets, made charging and using devices effortless. A separate seating area provided a comfortable loveseat and three pieces of wall art, which made the room suitable for both rest and remote work.

The bathroom followed the same soothing color scheme and felt larger thanks to a glass shower enclosure. A modern acrylic barn door provided privacy while preserving the room’s open, airy feel. Evenings were quietly indulgent, often spent in the plush white robe while admiring the city views from the window.

SERVICES/AMENITIES: True to its name, Park Terrace Hotel offers an outdoor terrace overlooking Bryant Park. Located on the sixth floor, the terrace provides sweeping views and a welcomed rooftop escape in the middle of the city. The recently renovated lounge features warm honey-toned wood accents and green highlights that echo the park below, creating attractive communal spaces for work or leisure. For groups or business needs, a small conference room is available for private meetings.

The lower level houses a private event lounge and a fitness center, giving guests options for gatherings and a place to maintain their exercise routine after long days exploring New York.
