Pan Pacific Dalian Hotel Opens in China’s Port City

Pan Pacific Hotels Group, the hospitality arm of Singapore-based UOL Group Limited, has opened Pan Pacific Dalian. This new property is the group’s seventh hotel in China and its first in the vibrant coastal city of Dalian.

Located in Shahekou District, Pan Pacific Dalian sits close to major local attractions such as Xinghai Square, Golden Beach, Zhongshan Park and the Dalian Sea Shell Museum. The hotel’s convenient position also provides easy access to the Dalian World Expo Centre and the Dalian Xinghai Convention & Exhibition Centre, making it suitable for both business and leisure travelers.

Rising 52 stories, Pan Pacific Dalian offers sweeping panoramic views of the Yellow Sea and the surrounding hills. The design combines contemporary elegance with thoughtful touches that reflect Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s Graceful Luxury philosophy, which focuses on meaningful, sensory-rich hospitality experiences.

Dining options at the hotel emphasize quality and variety. Hai Tian Lou serves authentic Cantonese cuisine, including dim sum, fresh seafood and regional specialties, while Flying Fish offers Western-style dishes focused on fresh fish, seafood and steaks. Guests can expect attentive service and a warm hospitality experience across all outlets.

The hotel’s design draws inspiration from Dalian’s history as a trading hub and blends Asian décor with contemporary comforts. Pan Pacific Dalian features 216 well-appointed rooms and suites. Meeting and dining venues occupy the upper floors, including a rooftop bar that showcases expansive sea and city views. The property plans to add a rooftop helipad this year to support VIP transfers, aerial sightseeing and bespoke events. Onsite facilities also include a fully equipped fitness center and a spa.

Despite travel challenges in 2025, international hotels in China continued to host MICE events and business meetings for travelers from the U.S., Europe and across Asia. With travel to China projected to grow in 2026, confidence is returning among business and leisure travelers. Cities like Dalian, with a growing reputation as a business and coastal tourism hub, are attracting renewed interest from the international market. Pan Pacific Dalian positions itself as a modern, secure and appealing choice for visitors seeking both business convenience and local discovery.

“Our new hotel underscores PPHG’s long-term commitment to China, where growth is increasingly being shaped by the vibrancy of its next-wave cities. Our expansion into Dalian reflects our strategy to deepen our presence in China’s urban centers that are driving domestic tourism and economic momentum,” said Choe Peng Sum, CEO of Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

Situated in Northeast China, Dalian is emerging as a dynamic coastal economic center with a growing role in international trade, maritime innovation and the MICE market. Pan Pacific Dalian adds to the city’s hospitality offerings, catering to international business travelers and tourists drawn to the region’s coastal attractions and commercial opportunities.
