Omni Hotels & Resorts has teamed up with the National Honey Board to showcase honey-inspired cocktails and cuisine throughout the summer. The luxury brand has long incorporated honey harvested from on-site beehives at five properties—supporting a collective population of roughly 300,000 bees—into spa treatments and culinary offerings.
This season, select hotels feature a curated “Art of Water” poolside menu highlighting nature’s sweetener. The cocktail selections are organized by five regions—Southeast, Northeast, Midwest, Texas and West—each presenting locally influenced, honey-infused creations that reflect regional flavors and seasonal produce.
“Guests from coast to coast can enjoy our honey-inspired menu filled with sweet and savory summer bites while sipping ‘liquid gold’ cocktails designed to refresh any palate,” said David Morgan, vice president of food and beverage at Omni Hotels & Resorts. “In the United States alone, honey comes in more than 300 varietals, each with its own flavor and color profile. We used a range of those varietals to craft this year’s menu and deliver a memorable tasting experience.”
In the Southeast, iconic resorts such as The Omni Homestead Resort and The Omni Grove Park Inn serve cocktails like the Honey Grapefruit Crush, prepared with Svedka grapefruit jalapeño vodka, wildflower honey water and a splash of grapefruit and lemon juices for bright, balanced citrus notes.
At the Omni Mount Washington Resort in the White Mountains, guests can enjoy a Honey Melon Mojito—Cruzan light rum combined with watermelon purée blended with clover honey water, fresh mint, lime and a splash of club soda for a refreshing mountain-side sip.
On the West Coast, the Omni San Diego Hotel highlights the Pink Moon Shandy: Deep Eddy Ruby Red Grapefruit vodka shaken with orange blossom honey water, fresh lemon and grapefruit juices, and topped with Blue Moon Belgian White Ale for a crisp, effervescent finish.
In New Orleans, the Omni Royal New Orleans pours the Wildflower Honey Punch, a rounded cocktail made with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey Whiskey, white sangria mix, Angostura bitters, wildflower honey water and freshly squeezed lime and lemon juices.
Near Austin, the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa features drinks such as the Gold Blossom Margarita and Honey Grapefruit Lemonade, both infused with orange blossom honey water—ideal refreshment after a day on the links.
Beyond cocktails, participating properties each offer two honey-inspired entrées. Menu examples include honey-roasted chicken salad, ale-and-honey-braised bratwurst, kale salad dressed with orange blossom honey vinaigrette, and lemon-alfalfa honey hummus—dishes that showcase honey’s versatility in both sweet and savory preparations.
Across Omni’s properties, the collaboration with the National Honey Board emphasizes locally sourced ingredients, seasonal flavor combinations and thoughtful use of honey varietals to enhance texture and depth in beverages and cuisine. Guests can expect refreshing poolside cocktails and creative culinary pairings that celebrate the natural complexity of honey this summer.
